Certificate and hallmarks

Every piece of Clénot Boutique jewelry is accompanied by
Certificate of authenticity
It states the type of jewelry purchased, confirms the materials used, their purity, weight and, in the case of gemstones, other parameters.
The certificate serves as a warranty card, so it is advisable to keep it for possible modifications or repairs.
Assay office
Anyone who produces, trades or arranges for the trade in precious metals has a reporting obligation and other obligations under the Assay Act.
We are registered with the Assay Office of the Czech Republic. Our assigned responsibility mark has the shape of the serif font CNB in a frame.
How to recognize marked jewelry
Every piece of gold jewelry placed on the Czech market must be hallmarked:
- State hallmark - stamped by the hallmarking office
- Fineness mark - indicating the proportion of gold (e.g. 750 - 18k)
- Identification mark - production or responsibility mark (in our case, CNB in a frame)
Note: Jewelry weighing less than 0.52 g of pure gold does not have to be hallmarked with a state or identification mark. However, it must be marked with a fineness mark. Conversely, jewelry above this weight limit does not have to have a fineness mark, as it is hallmarked with a state mark and an identification mark.
Czech hallmarks
In accordance with legislation, we publish an overview of valid state hallmarks for gold, silver and platinum goods.
